This course is designed as a practical approach to the teaching of STEAM in an international context. This course is designed to introduce students to the art of digital photography as a way to explore the Spanish society, people and culture.The course will explore the fundamentals of photography, visual narrative, composition and editing while exploring the different photographic genres. As a background, the city of Madrid will serve as a life platform to explore the changes of the people, culture, history and society through time.

Classroom sessions will be combined with specific tours of the city and on-site assignments where students will have to recreate different times, events, locations and buildings. The course offers different activities including visit to photo exhibits, art galleries, and museums as well as meetings with professionals in the field of visual arts.
