This course is designed as a practical approach to the teaching of STEAM in an international context. The goal of the course is to introduce students to Spanish art, civilization and culture through the study of different museums and art collections. While learning about Spain students will learn about the museums themselves as well; how they become architectural icons, the avant garde design presenting their collections and the integration of the latest technologies to better disseminate all information to the visitors.

The course will explore El Prado and Thyssen Museums but also the Archeological Museum in Madrid, the Museum of Human Evolution in Burgos or the Guggenheim in Bilbao. This course has a strong practical component, students will visit museums and galleries and hold meetings with archeologists, architects, museum administration personal and curators.
